Create blueprints using an analog photographic process discovered in 1842—no darkroom needed, just this kit, water and sunlight!

With the ingredients in this kit, you can transform watercolor paper postcards into photo paper by making them sensitive to UV light. Where the sun hits the treated paper, a deep blue color appears. This allows you to create beautiful blue-and-white prints at home.

This kit provides everything you need to mix and apply the photo solution yourself—enough for the included postcards, plus a little extra for further experimentation.

The Cyanotype Kit is made by PAR in Leiden, the Netherlands.

Please note: This is NOT a children's kit or toy! Older kids will have fun using the kit, but when used by minors adult supervision is advised at all times!
If you you want to do sunprints with kids, please check out this Sunprint Kit which is more suitable for children.

What is the difference between this kit and the Sunprint Kit?
While the Sunprint Kit already includes UV-sensitive paper, the DIY Cyanotype Kit allows you to coat your own paper (or other materials!). This gives you much more creative freedom and allows for better experimentation.
