These fish are folded from toilet rolls in no time. Paint them however you like and use them as summer decorations. If you make a lot of fish, you can string them together and hang them as a garland.
You will need:
Toilet roll(s)
Paint and decorative materials as desired (I used acrylic paint)
(Hot) glue
For a garland, additionally: String
Instructions
1. Take a toilet roll.
2. Place the roll in front of you and press in the top edge on the left and right sides so that the roll has two points.
3. Flatten the roll so that one point is facing up. The points form the fish's tail.
4. Fold the front point down and back up again.
5. Repeat on the back.
6. Take the roll and first turn it so that the point is facing down. Then turn it 90° to the side.
7. Now repeat steps 2 and 3. This will create a point on the other end of your roll. This will be the fish's head.
8. Press the tail fins together at the pre-folded point. This creates the fish shape.
9. You can glue the tips of the head together.
10. If you like, you can string several fish onto one string. In this case, I recommend stringing the fish first and then gluing the tips of the heads.
11. Decorate your fish as you like.
